The opportunity
When Pentagon Federal Credit Union began to outgrow its current headquarters it selected GDCo as development manager for all facets of construction, furnishing and occupancy of its new headquarters facility on a relatively compact urban site.

The solution
We assessed several sites and identified one that
provided the most favorable long-term cost of occupancy while meeting the credit union’s needs. We handled all aspects of development, from negotiating the purchase and sale agreement and managing the planning and design process to securing all municipal entitlements and approvals. Unique features of this building solution include a
geothermal HVAC system – one of the first of its kind in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. We managed construction of the 185,000-square-foot facility, which includes three stories of office space atop four stories
of parking space.
