The opportunity
Human Genome Sciences, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company with a pipeline of novel protein and antibody
drugs, sought a development firm to help develop plans for new facilities in which they would manufacture a variety of biotechnical products. The space also would accommodate administration, QC|process development laboratories and various other uses.

The solution
We were selected to initially develop an 84,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art build-to-suit facility in less than one year, we assumed all delivery responsibility, from strategic master planning and financing to commissioning and completion. Immediately following the Build to Suit, we also were
engaged to master plan and negotiate the purchase of a
multi-site parcel to serve as the headquarters facility for Human Genome Sciences.
